About the role
This position ensures courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service to maximise guest satisfaction. The role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining cost control and leading the Commis Chefs while supporting Chef de Parties in daily kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, helpful attitude and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Prepare, portion and garnish foods according to prescribed methods and portion sizes.
- Receive and examine food supplies required for the menu.
- Monitor product consumption, spoilage and wastage, reporting over‑consumption.
- Assume responsibility for the section and replace the Chef de Partie during absences.
Required profile
- Higher Secondary education or equivalent.
- 1‑2 years experience as a Demi Chef De Partie or 2 years as a Commis in a five‑star hotel.
- Ability to work under pressure, stand for long hours and collaborate as a team member.
- Clear understanding of written and spoken English.
