About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team at a luxury hotel, preparing high‑quality dishes and ensuring smooth operations during service. This role involves both hot and cold food preparation, adherence to recipes, and maintaining food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, cold foods, and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, maintain food logs, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
- Communicate with chefs and service staff about specials, excess items, and out‑of‑stock menu items.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant culinary experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
