Design & Technical Manager

About the role

The Design & Technical Manager will lead the complete design and technical delivery process from post‑award through construction completion. Acting as the primary technical interface, you will coordinate with the Contractor, Client, PMC, Operator, Designers, Authorities and internal teams to close design gaps, finalize intent and release approved deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main technical representative with client, PMC, operator, consultants and authorities.
• Lead technical workshops to resolve design gaps, assumptions and interface issues.
• Manage post‑award design development, multidisciplinary coordination and IFC readiness.
• Oversee preparation, submission, review and approval of shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock‑ups and construction documents.
• Maintain drawing, material and sample registers, submittal schedules and approval matrices.
• Ensure all technical submissions support construction sequencing, procurement strategy and handover requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading design and technical delivery for construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination (architectural, interior, MEP, structural).
• Ability to act as primary technical liaison with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Management of shop drawings and construction documentation.
• Handling of material, sample and mock‑up submittals.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary design packages.
