Designer Professional - Architecture

About the role

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in Dubai is seeking a Designer Professional in Architecture to join its collaborative practice. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile projects, develop innovative design solutions, and grow within a globally recognized firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead distinct portions of architectural projects with periodic supervision from senior leadership.
• Produce, coordinate, and oversee presentation and contract deliverables such as diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings, physical models, and animations.
• Communicate effectively with internal project teams, consultants, and clients throughout the design process.
• Drive process innovation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making while maintaining high precision and accuracy.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Professional licensure process close to completion; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Experience with parametric and rendering software.
• Competence in Adobe Suite.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
