Development Coach – Swimming (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Hamilton Aquatics is looking for a Development Coach to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will design and deliver high‑quality sessions for Foundation, Development and Potential squads, helping young swimmers progress to competitive levels while promoting the club’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct technique‑focused training sessions for the three development squads.
• Monitor attendance, set individual targets and adjust programmes based on progress.
• Guide swimmers in competition selection, attend local and overseas meets, and support talent identification from the Learn to Swim programme.
• Maintain regular communication with swimmers, parents and staff; handle enquiries and report to the Head of Development.
• Ensure compliance with child‑protection, health‑safety and pool safety procedures, including first‑aid duties.
• Complete administrative tasks such as booking competitions and updating progression records.
• Represent the club at events, organise school clinics and lead inter‑school training sessions.

Required profile

• UKCC Level 2 Coaching in Aquatics (or equivalent) and a Lifeguard qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proven experience coaching young swimmers through Learn‑to‑Train and Train‑to‑Train stages.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with a track record of developing age‑group athletes.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

• Lifeguard qualification
• Proficiency with IT and video analysis tools for performance feedback
