DevOps Engineer Azure (On‑prem Azure DevOps Server)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage an on‑premises Azure DevOps Server platform for a tax transformation platform covering Exchange of Information, FATCA, CRS and CTS reporting. The position is fully remote and supports a UAE‑based client operating in the Tax & Regulatory Compliance Technology sector.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the on‑premises Azure DevOps Server, including upgrades, backups and agent pool management.
• Maintain Windows Server virtual machines – patching, resource allocation and performance tuning.
• Manage SQL Server databases, write T‑SQL scripts, automate deployments (DACPAC/Migrations) and handle backups and performance troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve build script issues, MSBuild errors and runtime problems using C# and .NET.
• Automate server tasks, deployment pipelines and system maintenance with PowerShell or C#.
• Configure and maintain IIS, including SSL certificates and application pool optimization.
• Oversee Git‑based workflows and branching strategies in a private server environment.
• Support automated deployment, infrastructure, monitoring, security and release management for the tax platform.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of relevant DevOps experience.
• Proven experience with on‑prem Azure DevOps Server administration.
• Strong background in Windows Server, SQL Server and .NET development.
