Dietitian – Clinical Nutrition Specialist

About the role

The Dietitian will deliver comprehensive nutritional services to patients at NMCSH in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with physicians and other health‑care professionals, you will assess dietary needs, design therapeutic nutrition programs, and monitor outcomes to support health promotion and disease control.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ nutritional requirements and develop individualized diet‑care plans.
• Coordinate with doctors and health‑care teams to align medical and nutritional interventions.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate food‑service or nutrition programs that promote health and manage disease.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and groups on nutrition principles, healthy eating habits, and diet modifications.
• Monitor food‑service operations to ensure compliance with nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Develop policies, curricula, and instructional materials for nutrition education.
• Inspect meals for adherence to prescribed diets, palatability, and appearance.
• Formulate therapeutic modified menu plans.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, food service systems management, or a related field.
• Leadership experience in fine‑dining or catering; hospital experience preferred.
• Current professional licensure in the country of origin and a DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; Arabic knowledge desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, team‑building, and results‑orientation.

Required skills
