Director of Corporate Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Development will own the organisation’s inorganic growth strategy and shape its long‑term expansion. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the full acquisition lifecycle—from sourcing opportunities to post‑close integration—while also evaluating strategic alliances, joint ventures and major commercial partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Apply a consistent screening and scoring methodology covering strategic fit, financial returns, technology, integration complexity and risk.
• Prepare concise opportunity assessments, valuation, transaction and sensitivity models, including synergy and financing analyses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence (financial, legal, technology, operational).
• Lead diligence on target leadership, conduct background and litigation reviews, and translate findings into deal recommendations.
• Support transaction structuring and negotiations, including retention arrangements, earn‑outs, indemnification and escrow.
• Prepare executive and board‑level investment materials and track completed transactions against the original thesis.
• Develop and manage transaction and integration budgets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate development, M&A or investment banking at a senior level.
• Strong analytical discipline combined with sound commercial judgment.
• Low‑ego, execution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills for senior leadership and board presentations.
