Director of Procurement

About the role

The investment and development group based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a seasoned Director of Procurement to steer strategic sourcing, vendor management and contract negotiation across its diversified business units. This senior position will ensure cost‑effective purchasing, strong supplier relationships and compliance with corporate procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost‑optimisation targets.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, tendering and competitive bidding processes.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, SLAs and long‑term agreements with suppliers.
• Oversee category management, spend analysis and optimisation strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance and manage procurement risks.
• Prepare dashboards, spend reports, supplier scorecards and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration or related field; professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
• 10‑15 years of procurement experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation and procurement governance for large‑scale or multi‑entity organisations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience in construction, real estate, oil & gas, investment or diversified corporate groups is an advantage.
