Electrical Engineering Internship (Grid Technologies)

About the role

Join Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies Substations unit in Dubai as an Engineering Working Intern. You will collaborate with senior engineers on calculations, drawings, and documentation that support real substation infrastructure delivery across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior engineers with fundamental engineering calculations, data collection and technical analysis for substation projects.
• Assist in preparing and modifying technical drawings and schematics using CAD software under direct supervision.
• Review technical specifications and project documentation to deepen understanding of project requirements and industry standards.
• Participate in team meetings to stay informed on project status and engineering challenges.
• Create, format and maintain essential project documentation, including reports, lists and technical records.
• Organise engineering files and drawings within the company’s document management system and provide general administrative support.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical‑Electronic Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Solid foundation in core engineering principles gained through academic coursework.
• Strong learning agility, attention to detail and the ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
