Electrical Engineering Teacher (Vocational)

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Teacher to deliver vocational engineering courses to Emirati students. Reporting to the Vice‑Principal Academic, you will help students build a solid technical foundation and develop the language skills needed for an international work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess engineering subjects, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Develop teaching materials, assessments, and maintain accurate student and course records.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to continuously improve curriculum, teaching methods, and assessment strategies.
• Liaise with student counselors to communicate progress and address student concerns.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of post‑secondary teaching experience, preferably in the UAE or Middle East.
• At least 3 years of industry experience as a maintenance engineer or similar role, including exposure to the oil & gas sector.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Education and a recognized teaching qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English; IELTS 7 for non‑native speakers.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency with CAD and other engineering software.
