English Faculty – General Studies

About the role

Provide effective instruction in English as a Foreign Language to second‑language learners within a student‑centric environment, while contributing to policy development and community engagement at Higher Colleges of Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver English language courses using practical, applied approaches aligned with syllabus and program goals.
• Develop and employ educational technology resources and electronic assessment tools (eCAF, CAR) to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress through tests, projects, assignments and provide continuous feedback.
• Advise and mentor students, monitor at‑risk cases and support internships and work placements.
• Conduct applied research, participate in conferences and serve on faculty and system‑wide committees.
• Maintain teaching facilities, manage course content, and contribute to curriculum revision and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in TESOL or related field, or Master’s with CELTA/CertTESOL/DELTA/DipTESOL and at least 3 years teaching experience.
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in developing soft‑skills and workplace‑readiness programmes.
• Experience integrating educational technology into curriculum and instruction.
