English Teacher - Noya British School, Abu Dhabi

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an English teacher for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, to start in Academic Year 27/28. The school sits in an international community close to amenities and entertainment, and the successful candidate will align with the school's values and those of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with all members of the school community and work flexibly with colleagues.
• Plan engaging lessons alongside fellow teachers that meet curriculum requirements, and liaise with curriculum support staff where applicable.
• Teach by organising classroom provision and resources, creating displays, and planning sessions for the whole ability range of the class.
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching and observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
• Take responsibility for class progress, record student development in Target Tracker, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention.
• Give feedback to parents and carers on progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings.
• Follow the school's behaviour policy and manage classes effectively, inspiring, motivating and challenging pupils.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• At least 2-3 years of teaching experience in GCSE/A Levels.
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.
