Executive Director – Client Coverage

About the role

Standard Chartered is seeking an Executive Director to lead client coverage for large corporate customers in the UAE, primarily within the Consumer and Retail sectors. This senior, client‑facing position combines deep sector insight with the bank’s global capabilities to drive profitable growth and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute relationship strategies for a portfolio of large corporate clients.
• Act as the primary senior contact, building trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Identify and originate new business opportunities across the bank’s full product suite.
• Mobilise coverage teams, product partners and senior stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Own financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability and credit quality.
• Ensure compliance with AML, CDD, KYC and broader risk management obligations.
• Represent Standard Chartered professionally at senior levels regionally and internationally.

Required profile

• Significant Corporate & Investment Banking coverage experience, preferably across corporates and financial institutions in an international or regional setting.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking and financial products.
• Proven ability to lead strategic client relationships and drive franchise growth.
