Experienced QA/QC Engineer – 14+ years – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned QA/QC Engineer with over 14 years of UAE site supervision experience to join a major supervision project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring that all construction activities meet contract documents, specifications, and local authority requirements while maintaining the Project Quality Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project works for conformance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with project and company standards.
• Review, approve, and process QA/QC submittals such as Method Statements, ITPs, and Checklists.
• Respond to RFIs related to quality and compliance issues.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities across civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
• Review contractor NCRs, corrective and preventive actions, and verify close‑out effectiveness.
• Assess contractor change order proposals and claims concerning quality aspects.
• Supervise QA/QC inspectors, ensuring proper inspections and documentation.
• Review contractor project records, test results, and as‑built documentation.
• Assist with inspection of completed works, snagging, de‑snagging, and monitor testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure final quality documentation is complete before project handover and sign off on compliant works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 14 years of QA/QC site supervision experience within an engineering consultancy in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, construction materials, and inspection procedures.
• Excellent understanding of applicable codes, standards, specifications, and authority requirements (ADM, Estidama, etc.).
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects from start‑up to final handover.
• ISO 9001 certification or Internal Auditor certification is an advantage.
