Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Financial Controller to join a hard‑commodity trading firm in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Budgeting and Controlling, you will ensure financial discipline, high‑quality reporting and operational transparency across international trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing processes, performing reconciliations and discrepancy analysis.
• Prepare reserve calculations, income and expense accruals, and process administrative and operational expense data in the 1C Management Accounting system.
• Develop quarterly management reporting packages, including KPI dashboards and business analysis for senior management.
• Collect budget inputs, calculate budget lines, upload approved budgets, and support variance analysis.
• Monitor administrative budget execution, support internal and external audits, and provide day‑to‑day operational support to the Trading Department.
• Maintain projected client payment schedules, prepare weekly payment analysis reports, and assist Treasury with payment execution.
• Produce analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for the Trading team and senior management.
• Participate in the development of internal financial policies and drive automation of reporting and control processes.

Required profile

• Higher education in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the 1C Management Accounting system.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, budgeting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local reporting requirements.
