Financial Controlling Manager – GBS, Dubai

About the role

The Financial Controlling Manager will join the Global Business Services (GBS) team in Dubai, supporting the division’s accounting policy framework and collaborating closely with Group Finance. You will lead the implementation of internal controls, drive the rollout of collection infrastructure, and champion AI‑driven automation to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group and Divisional Policy and Advisory Head in developing and standardising financial internal controls.
• Draft and implement divisional accounting policies, providing technical analysis and guidance.
• Design and deliver training sessions on IAS, IFRS and internal accounting policies to Finance and Operations teams.
• Provide expert advice on complex accounting judgments and stay current with accounting standards.
• Identify accounting risks, advise on positions, and ensure a sustainable control environment.
• Coordinate with Shared Service Centres and Business Unit Finance teams to ensure timely period‑close activities.
• Lead balance‑sheet substantiation initiatives and conduct periodic reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting or related finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of IAS, IFRS and corporate accounting policies.
• Proven ability to develop and implement internal controls and risk‑assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
