Global Principal Electrical Design Engineer – Data Center

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Global Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical system design for its Data Center segment. Based in Dubai, the role provides senior technical authority across worldwide data‑center and mission‑critical projects, from concept through construction and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the global subject‑matter expert for electrical infrastructure in data‑center projects.
• Lead design of medium‑voltage (MV) and low‑voltage (LV) distribution, transformer selection, UPS architecture, protection coordination and grounding.
• Develop and enforce design standards, best practices and compliance across all regions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and regional engineering groups to deliver safe, scalable solutions.
• Support complex hyperscale and enterprise data‑center programs, ensuring technical excellence and resilience.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical design for data‑center or mission‑critical facilities.
• Proven leadership in delivering MV/LV distribution, transformer and UPS solutions.
• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory compliance and scalability requirements.
• Ability to influence global design direction and mentor engineering teams.
