Head Of Corporate OSH

About the role

As the Head of Corporate OSH you will provide strategic leadership, governance and assurance for Etihad Aviation Group’s health and safety framework across offices, facilities, projects and contractor operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set corporate HSE strategy, policies and annual improvement plan, and run a management system aligned with OSHAD‑SF, UAE Civil Defence, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Own the corporate risk register, test controls and lead management of change.
• Run a risk‑based audit and inspection programme across business units, facilities and contractors.
• Oversee incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and ensure lessons are applied.
• Define HSE requirements for contractor selection, mobilisation, monitoring and performance.
• Maintain emergency preparedness and its links to crisis management and business continuity.
• Build dashboards, leading and lagging indicators and trend analysis for executives and the Board.
• Lead and develop the HSE team, fostering leadership engagement and proactive hazard reporting.

Required profile

• 15+ years of HSE experience, including at least 7 years leading teams in a high‑hazard, highly regulated industry such as aviation, oil & gas, infrastructure or transport.
• Proven experience managing a multi‑site, multicultural HSE organisation and departmental budget.
• Track record in corporate HSE governance, management systems, risk management, assurance and incident investigation.
• Strong knowledge of OSH legislation, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, HSE, environmental science, occupational health or related discipline.

Required skills

• NEBOSH Diploma, CSP or CMIOSH professional qualification (preferred).
