Head of Finance GBS – Global Business Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance GBS to lead the finance shared services function for a large, diversified FMCG organization in Dubai. The role will drive operational excellence, standardisation, governance and service delivery across core finance processes while overseeing a large‑scale finance operations environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall Finance GBS / shared services function, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely delivery of finance processes.
• Oversee core finance operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Record‑to‑Report, financial accounting and reconciliations.
• Drive standardisation, centralisation and harmonisation of finance processes across businesses and legal entities.
• Establish and monitor service delivery KPIs, SLAs and operational performance metrics.
• Ensure strong governance, internal controls, compliance and process discipline.
• Partner with business finance, controllership, FP&A, tax, treasury, audit and corporate finance teams.
• Lead process improvement, automation, digitisation and finance transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen controls and enhance service quality.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a large FMCG or similar multi‑entity environment.
• Deep knowledge of end‑to‑end finance processes and transformation programmes.
• Track record of building scalable finance operations and insourcing from external partners.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across finance and business functions.
• Excellent analytical, governance and control orientation.
