Head of Finance

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, high‑transaction business in Dubai. The role combines strategic financial leadership with direct involvement in core accounting, reporting and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with long‑term growth objectives.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis across a multi‑entity structure.
• Own the month‑end close process, targeting a five‑day cycle while ensuring accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Identify and remediate deficiencies in financial processes, establishing robust controls.
• Provide unit‑economics analysis and performance dashboards to support executive decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT, corporate tax and audit requirements.
• Manage liquidity, receivables, payables and treasury operations, mitigating currency and interest‑rate risk.
• Utilise SQL, data‑warehouse tools and AI solutions (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate analysis, reporting and reconciliation.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance leadership within high‑transaction, high‑volume industries such as ride‑hailing, mobility, delivery, marketplaces, fintech or e‑commerce.
• Track record of improving financial controls, shortening close cycles and delivering actionable insights.
• Hands‑on accounting expertise with the ability to perform core closing tasks personally.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
