Head of Section – Master’s Program

About the role

The Head of Section – Master’s Program will lead the design, delivery and administration of executive‑level master’s programmes at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior university leadership, the role ensures programmes meet academic standards, market demand and corporate partner expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage implementation and day‑to‑day administration of executive master’s programmes.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new programmes in collaboration with faculty, the Registrar and Finance.
• Coordinate marketing and launch activities with the Communications Department.
• Oversee class scheduling, faculty travel arrangements and delivery of student materials.
• Work with Student Recruitment to identify and target prospective candidates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with private and public organisations to align programme offerings with market needs.
• Organise academic assignments, invigilate examinations and ensure assessment coordination with the Registrar.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all student‑related enquiries concerning the programmes.
• Supervise a small support team.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in academic support, programme management or teaching at the higher‑education level.
• Demonstrated ability to manage executive‑level programmes and lead a team.
• Strong knowledge of UAE business, government entities and higher‑education accreditation policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic and French are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience managing delivery of executive‑level programmes.
• Proven marketing and promotion experience for such programmes.
• Managerial or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Project planning and management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
