Hostess – Front of House Guest Host

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this front‑of‑house position you will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage reservations and ensure smooth seating flow.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations using a seating chart or booking software.
• Communicate wait times, accommodate special requests and answer phone inquiries.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimise seating and service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the front‑of‑house area.
• Handle guest complaints promptly, escalating to management when needed.
• Support basic administrative tasks and overall team operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a hostess or customer‑facing role is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and calm demeanor under pressure.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
