Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry (when applicable) at the Sheraton property in Sharjah. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, inspected and maintained while supporting guest satisfaction and budget goals.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily housekeeping shift activities, ensuring compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces each day, communicate room status to the Front Desk, and assign work based on immediate cleaning needs and upcoming check‑outs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, verify adequate stock, and ensure staff have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance and strive to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and oversee attendance and time‑keeping.
• Handle guest complaints, develop corrective action plans and promote a culture of exceptional customer service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience.
• Or a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field (no experience required).
