Housing Assistant

About the role

The Housing Assistant supports the overall supervision of employee housing at American Hospital Dubai, handling entitlement, allotment, maintenance, inventories and vacancy management. The role ensures smooth operation of accommodation services and acts as a liaison between residents and various support departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overall supervision of employee housing matters, including entitlement, allotment, maintenance, inventories and vacancies.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure effective functioning of the housing unit and participate in staff meetings and projects.
• Maintain and update the database of current occupants and keep accurate records of inventories and assets.
• Issue linen, keys, access cards and welcome packs to new residents and ensure assets are available according to checklists.
• Handle residents' complaints, coordinate furniture shifts, and keep safe custody of accommodation keys.
• Liaise with Materials, Finance, Support Services and other departments to facilitate housing operations.

Required profile

• Graduate from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar housing or facilities role.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Familiarity with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles.
• Experience with customer service principles.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
