Housing Technician – Employee Accommodation

About the role

The Housing Technician will ensure that all technical systems and equipment within staff accommodation at Rixos Al Mairid operate efficiently and safely. This full‑time position involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general fixtures.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, minimizing disruption to employee comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment servicing.
• Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials, reporting shortages and assisting with requisitions.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards, building regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor, Employee Accommodation and other departments to coordinate activities and support facility improvements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus.
• Previous experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in residential or hospitality settings.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a service‑oriented mindset.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual tasks as required.
