Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant will join the laundry team at Rixos Al Mairid, ensuring all linens, towels, uniforms and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed and presented to the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial washers, dryers and ironing equipment to process hotel and guest laundry.
• Sort items by fabric type and colour, inspect for stains or damage and apply appropriate stain‑removal techniques.
• Fold, stack and organise clean items for efficient distribution to housekeeping and other departments.
• Handle guest laundry requests, following special instructions and ensuring timely return.
• Monitor linen and uniform inventory, reporting shortages or damages.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and report any malfunctions.
• Follow hygiene, safety and eco‑friendly practices, including proper chemical handling and waste reduction.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a laundry operation, housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control and stain inspection.
• Team‑oriented attitude and good time‑management skills.
