Indirect Tax Manager – Dubai

About the role

EY is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to lead VAT and GST advisory engagements in Dubai. You will work within a dynamic team, helping clients navigate complex tax regulations while supporting EY’s growth strategy in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of indirect tax engagements with a focus on technical excellence and commercial value.
• Manage large VAT implementation projects, coordinating client functional experts and EY consultants.
• Identify market opportunities and develop commercial propositions for new and existing clients.
• Advise clients on the impact of VAT/GST on supply chains, financial systems, and accounting processes.
• Assess tax risks, provide guidance on international trade taxation, and ensure compliance with customs regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting; advanced degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACA, CA, CMA, SOCPA, CTA, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in indirect tax, including VAT/GST advisory.
• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous, though candidates from law firms or industry are also considered.
• Strong teaching, advisory, and communication abilities; able to work under pressure and collaborate within a team.
