Inspector I – Quality (Mechanical – Static/Rotating)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an Inspector I – Quality (Mechanical) to support mechanical equipment inspections on construction sites in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on static and rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with client specifications, preservation records and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections of mechanical equipment, reviewing preservation records.
• Monitor material lay‑down and warehouse areas for proper storage.
• Verify equipment foundations are released by the Civil QC Inspector.
• Ensure preservation records are maintained and required testing is carried out.
• Check equipment manuals to determine correct procedures.
• Track mechanical activities against project schedules and conduct daily surveillance audits.
• Witness dimensional, alignment and bolt‑torque checks.
• Facilitate client inspections and review equipment certifications for compliance.
• Supervise cleaning and installation activities prior to equipment installation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of relevant experience in mechanical inspection or quality control.
• Ability to work on‑site in a hybrid environment, attending the office at least three days per week.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow international codes and standards.
