Welding Inspector

About the role

The Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring all welding activities on the project meet client specifications, approved procedures, and relevant codes. This role supports pipeline construction, tie‑ins, spool fabrication and overall quality assurance at the site.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections on‑site, verifying fit‑up, welding parameters, consumables control and visual quality against approved WPS/PQR.
• Monitor pipeline welding, tie‑ins, spool fabrication and installation, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Witness and document NDT, hydro‑testing and mechanical completion inspections.
• Review welding documentation, material certificates, welder qualifications and quality records.
• Identify non‑conformances, report them and follow corrective actions to closure.

Required profile

• Engineering Diploma in Mechanical or Welding Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of welding inspection experience in the Oil & Gas sector, including pipeline projects.
• Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS‑CWI certification; ADNOC approval preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDT methods and codes such as ASME, API, AWS, ISO.
• Fluent English with good communication and reporting skills.
