Instructor in Medical Education

About the role

The Department of Medical Education at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking a motivated Instructor in Medical Education. The successful candidate will support the planning, delivery, coordination and evaluation of undergraduate medical education activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom‑based, small‑group, clinical skills, simulation and practical teaching sessions.
• Assist with curriculum development, course organization and preparation of educational materials.
• Support student assessments, including examinations, OSCEs and workplace‑based assessments.
• Provide academic guidance, feedback and support to students.
• Contribute to quality assurance, program evaluation, accreditation and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in faculty development workshops and departmental committees.
• Engage in research, scholarly activities and other duties assigned by the Chair.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Medical Education, Health Professions Education, Public Health or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, biomedical sciences, public health or another relevant health‑related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment principles in medical or health professions education.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
