Investment Lead (Family Office)

About the role

Chalhoub Group is hiring an Investment Lead for its Family Office in Dubai. Reporting to the Vice President of the Chalhoub Family Office, you will lead investment strategy and manage a diversified portfolio across public markets, private equity, real estate, venture capital and infrastructure, with a particular focus on the US and Europe. You will assess investment managers and opportunities, lead due diligence, monitor portfolio performance and manage capital and liquidity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing and new investment allocations across public markets, real estate, private equity, venture capital and infrastructure in line with the family's objectives.
• Identify and assess investment managers and opportunities globally, especially real estate and infrastructure in Europe and the US.
• Lead due diligence, financial modelling, valuation and risk assessment, and prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.
• Monitor investments and portfolio performance, identify risks and recommend actions.
• Manage investment budgets, cash flow forecasts, capital calls and distributions.
• Prepare quarterly portfolio performance reports and analysis.
• Guide the Investment Analyst while staying hands-on with analysis and day-to-day investment work.

Required profile

• Relevant investment experience within a family office or investment management environment.
• Experience across public and private markets, particularly real estate, with US and European market experience and an understanding of infrastructure investing.
• Knowledge of fund structures, cross-border investment vehicles and relevant tax and regulatory considerations, plus portfolio reporting and liquidity management.
• Strong written and spoken English; French is strongly preferred.
