Senior Trading Analyst

About the role

Deriv is looking for a Senior Trading Analyst in Dubai to build trading analysis that supports live decisions, risk frameworks and trading conditions for its 3 million customers. The role combines trading expertise with AI tools to shape, validate and improve semi-autonomous agents that handle hedging, market monitoring and fraud detection. It suits someone who wants to develop trading analysis quickly, rather than a comfortable, low-stakes environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build supervised agents with technical teams for pre-hedging analysis, hedge execution and post-hedging review, assessing execution costs, risk reduction and commercial outcomes.
• Design agent-led monitoring of trends, volatility and liquidity across core instruments, with alerts, escalation criteria and feedback loops.
• Automate analysis of spreads, slippage and liquidity provider performance, and investigate material changes to recommend routing, pricing or provider adjustments.
• Investigate flagged trading patterns, distinguish legitimate behaviour from abuse, and feed outcomes back into detection logic.
• Run structured backtests of hedging strategies, instrument parameters and agent rules, guarding against overfitting.
• Maintain SOPs for trading analysis, agent supervision and hedging, covering approval boundaries, exposure limits, exceptions and escalation.
• Evaluate liquidity providers, bridge configurations and platform setups (MT5, cTrader, TradingView).
• Automate reporting for trading, risk and commercial teams and own the correctness of outputs, including AI-generated queries and calculations.
• Lead complex investigations, coordinate with technical and operational teams, mentor colleagues and onboard new members.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in trading analysis, financial markets or a related analytical role within a regulated entity.
• Degree in mathematics, finance, economics or a related field, applied in live trading environments.
• Experience owning analysis that shaped trading, pricing or risk decisions.
• Independent problem solving, mentoring others and raising the team's standard.
