iOS & Android Mobile Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled iOS & Android Mobile Developer to join Gadget Express in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for creating high-quality native applications for both platforms, ensuring performance, reliability and an excellent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Objective-C or Swift and Cocoa Touch.
• Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using the Android SDK.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, efficient code.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage and responsiveness.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and cloud messaging services, including push notifications.
• Identify, troubleshoot and fix bugs and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
• Maintain code quality through version control and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing native iOS and Android applications.
• Strong understanding of mobile platform guidelines (Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Objective-C, Swift, Cocoa Touch.
• iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation.
• Android SDK, handling multiple Android versions and screen sizes.
• Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning.
• RESTful API integration.
• Cloud messaging APIs and push notification services.
• Code versioning tools (Git, Mercurial, SVN).
• Continuous integration tools.
• Performance profiling tools (Instruments, Shark).
• Knowledge of sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer) and natural user interfaces.
