IT Operations Officer – Microsoft 365 & Azure

About the role

ASTRATECH is looking for a hands‑on IT Operations Officer / Engineer to manage day‑to‑day technical support and operational administration of its Microsoft 365, Azure and on‑premises infrastructure. The role serves as the first line of execution for incidents, service requests, user provisioning, endpoint management and basic network operations, ensuring stable, secure and well‑monitored IT services for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, Defender for Office 365, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Manage user lifecycle in Entra ID (Azure AD): account creation, licensing, MFA, SSPR and basic Conditional Access policies.
• Maintain on‑premises Active Directory, DNS records and hybrid identity synchronization.
• Provide first‑line support for firewalls, switches, wireless controllers, NAC, VoIP and CCTV systems, including basic configuration changes and fault escalation.
• Own end‑to‑end ticket handling via the service desk, from triage to closure, while maintaining accurate asset and configuration records.
• On‑board and off‑board employees, preparing hardware, provisioning access and revoking permissions.
• Create knowledge‑base articles, runbooks and end‑user guides.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience delivering technical support for Microsoft 365, Azure and on‑premises environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents, manage service requests and follow change‑control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, Defender for Office 365, Intune (MDM/MAM), OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams.
• Identity: Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, Self‑Service Password Reset.
• On‑premises AD, DNS (A, CNAME, MX, TXT/SPF/DKIM/DMARC) and hybrid sync.
• Networking hardware: firewalls, switches, wireless controllers/APs, NAC.
• VoIP provisioning and call‑quality troubleshooting.
• CCTV/NVR monitoring and vendor coordination.
• Service‑desk ticketing (TECH EXPERT) and asset/license management.
