IT PMO - Portfolio Lead

About the role

As an IT PMO – Portfolio Lead at Emirates, you will design and implement consistent PMO best practices for portfolios and programmes, ensuring successful and timely delivery of IT commitments. You will also drive Lean PMO transformation, provide governance, and deliver data‑driven insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PMO best practices for portfolios and programmes, and execute portfolio, programme and project level reporting.
• Uphold funding governance, monitor portfolio performance and provide data‑driven insights for investment decisions.
• Provide tool support, process training, coaching, mentoring and quality assurance across the portfolio team.
• Lead the transformation to a Lean PMO, building strong relationships with managers, executives and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a consistent PMO methodology covering schedule, resources, budget and performance metrics.
• Participate in portfolio chapter activities to define processes, templates and tool configurations.
• Measure project performance, track status, schedules, costs, resources, issues and risks accurately.
• Prepare annual budget, capacity plans and track expenditure and cost recovery.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours in Information Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio/programme management supporting CMMI and SAFe (or equivalent) lean delivery models.
• Proven ability to provide IT PMO support, connect portfolio to enterprise strategy and maintain portfolio road‑maps.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills in English.
• Analytical abilities, computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office applications.
