About the role

The Kitchen Commis supports the culinary team at Le Méridien Dubai by preparing special meals, managing ingredient storage, and ensuring food quality standards are met. This full‑time, on‑site position involves both hot and cold food preparation in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters and monitor food logs.
Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, portion, arrange and garnish dishes.
Communicate with chefs about excess inventory for daily specials and inform service staff of menu changes.
Maintain hygiene, safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs and follow all company policies.

Required profile

Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
At least 3 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
No supervisory experience required.
Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
