Kitchen Commis I - Al Meylas

About the role

Four Seasons Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island is hiring a Kitchen Commis I for its Al Meylas kitchen. The commis assists the chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and helps maintain a high standard and quality of food preparation. This is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard procedures, recipe cards, photographs and given instructions.
• Assist the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in developing standard recipes and ensure strict compliance with them.
• Participate in product development and support the smooth, efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Apply sound knowledge of cuisines and food service sanitation to perform duties efficiently.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and adherence to Four Seasons Food Standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork and a positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand.
• An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to assigned tasks.
• High level of understanding of kitchen operations.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading and writing).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
