L2 Network Engineer – Aruba Specialist

About the role

The L2 Engineer – Aruba provides advanced technical support and management for Aruba wireless and wired network solutions. This role handles escalated issues from Level 1 support, ensures network stability and performance, and works closely with cross‑functional teams to implement and optimise solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Aruba access points, controllers, and switches.
• Troubleshoot escalated connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring problems and document solutions.
• Configure and manage Aruba wireless controllers, APs, and switches, including VLANs, QoS, and security settings.
• Monitor network health using AirWave, Aruba Central and generate performance reports.
• Maintain firmware updates and patches for Aruba devices.
• Respond to incidents within SLA, escalating to Level 3 or vendor when needed.
• Document incidents, resolutions and lessons learned in the knowledge base.
• Collaborate with L1 teams and other departments for upgrades, migrations and deployments.
• Ensure network configurations comply with organisational security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in network engineering, preferably with Aruba solutions.
• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex network problems.
• Experience with incident and problem management processes.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
