Laboratory Technician – Cementing

About the role
The Laboratory Technician will perform analytical testing for cementing process streams, sampling, maintenance and HSE‑related samples using internationally accepted methods. The role supports research studies and ensures reliable data for quality assurance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests according to established methods and record results in the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Objects.
- Collect plant samples following standard sampling procedures, prepare and standardize chemical reagents, and maintain inventory of chemicals, calibration gases and consumables.
- Report instrument faults, perform trial runs on new or repaired equipment, and ensure proper functioning of laboratory apparatus.
- Provide on‑the‑job training for UAE nationalization programs and comply with HSE policies and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Required profile
- Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in laboratory analysis within the oil and gas sector.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Objects reporting software.
- Knowledge of chemical reagent preparation and calibration reference materials.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analyzers.
