Lead Auditor – UAE (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Remitly is seeking a Lead Auditor for its UAE legal entity, based in Abu Dhabi. This individual contributor role will lead the internal audit function across the UAE entity and support regional and global audit coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework for the UAE entity, including continuous monitoring routines.
• Develop the annual audit plan, update the audit universe, conduct risk assessments, and manage budgeting and scheduling.
• Lead audit engagements end‑to‑end, from scoping and planning through fieldwork, findings development, and reporting.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations, measure remediation effectiveness, and report status to oversight committees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Engineering, as well as external partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading internal audit functions, preferably within UAE‑regulated entities.
• Ability to work with global colleagues and co‑source partners.
• High visibility role with direct regulator and board interaction.
