About the role
KBR is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to oversee safety system commissioning for the Well Head Tower (WHT) subsea cable and piping scope of an offshore platform project. The role starts in Abu Dhabi, moves to a fabrication yard, and then to the offshore site on a rotating schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Lead commissioning activities for safety systems associated with subsea cable and piping on the WHT platform.
- Coordinate with client and contractor teams in Abu Dhabi, the fabrication yard, and offshore locations.
- Manage rotation schedules (6‑week/3‑week) and ensure seamless hand‑over between on‑site teams.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC project standards and mega‑project FEED/EPC requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to commissioning personnel.
Required profile
- Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- At least 5 years of experience on ADNOC projects.
- 5 years in a similar senior commissioning role on FEED/EPC projects exceeding US$1 billion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience with well‑head tower, subsea cable, and piping in brownfield modification projects is an advantage.
