Lead Commissioning Specialist – DCS

About the role

The Lead Commissioning Specialist is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software products within the DCS Controls Services portfolio. The role involves reporting to clients, plant owners and construction firms, providing regular progress updates and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site controls and instrumentation activities during installation, commissioning and maintenance of DCS projects, including oversight of Mark Vie, Cimplicity, HMI and network switches.
• Provide technical direction and support for OEM packaged products and interpret PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting.
• Implement DCS control modifications, set up and modify hardware/software for BOP, gas and steam turbine systems.
• Prepare field service reports, coordinate with project managers and ensure accurate timesheets with customer signatures.
• Supervise cable laying, insulation resistance testing and ensure all activities comply with EHS guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic/electrical engineering or a Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience with GEV DCS Controls systems (e.g., Mark Vie) and in the oil & gas or power‑plant sector.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment control philosophy for gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors and generators.
• Experience with unit control panels, motor control centers, DC panels and firefighting system commissioning.
• Valid driver’s license and passport, fluent English and willingness to travel extensively.
