Lead Engineer - Telecom

About the role

Rejlers Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Engineer to head its telecom engineering activities across refinery and on‑shore/off‑shore oil & gas projects. The role involves overseeing design, FEED, detailed engineering and delivery of telecom systems while ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, FEED and detailed engineering for telecom systems, preparing deliverable lists, man‑hour and cost estimates.
• Prepare and finalize engineering document registers, design calculations, drawings, specifications and obtain client approvals.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors and subcontractors to secure design inputs and manage technical queries.
• Conduct on‑site surveys, FAT/SAT, commissioning and as‑built documentation.
• Develop telecom architecture diagrams, radio coverage, Fresnel zone, fiber link‑budget and capacity calculations.
• Review multidisciplinary deliverables, ensure compliance with international codes and standards, and lead technical reviews.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in refinery and oil & gas telecom projects, preferably with ADNOC.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and design‑check‑approve cycles.
• Ability to lead multi‑cultural project teams and manage multiple tasks under tight schedules.

• LAN & WAN, ACS, CCTV, Fiber Optic Communication (FOC), IDS, PAGA, Hotline, Fire & Gas (F&G), IP Telephony.
• Radio coverage, Fresnel zone, fiber link‑budget, data & telephony traffic, capacity/bandwidth, public address SPL calculations.
• Telecom equipment power consumption and heat load calculations.
• Telecom architecture diagrams, device location planning, cable routing, wiring, interconnection and MDF/IDF schematics.
