Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer to provide advanced engineering expertise for I&C systems on ADNOC projects. The role focuses on engineering design, review and technical assurance across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC and PMC phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review and approval of instrumentation and control deliverables, including instrument index, I/O lists, control philosophies, cause‑and‑effect diagrams, datasheets, hook‑up and loop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, IEC, ISA and API codes and verify alignment with project specifications.
• Review FEED and detailed engineering documents prepared by EPC contractors and participate in design clarification meetings.
• Coordinate DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA and PLC system documentation and manage interfaces with telecom, electrical, process and mechanical disciplines.
• Evaluate SIL classification studies, alarm management philosophy and cybersecurity requirements.
• Oversee vendor and package engineering, review vendor documents, support bid evaluations and ensure timely resolution of comments.
• Monitor EPC contractor progress, provide technical guidance and support PMC coordination.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in instrumentation and control engineering for oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISA, API) and ADNOC requirements.
• Proven ability to lead design reviews, manage vendors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
