Legal Counsel – Real Estate & Construction

About the role

A leading luxury real estate development and construction group is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across real estate development, construction, Design & Build, commercial contracts and corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to senior management and internal departments on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with UAE laws.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts, including construction, Design & Build, consultancy, subcontractor, supplier, joint‑venture and development agreements.
• Support real estate and construction activities by reviewing property development, sale‑and‑purchase, lease agreements and advising on land acquisition, project disputes and contractual variations.
• Coordinate with external counsel, law firms and government authorities for corporate structuring, licensing, registrations and dispute resolution.
• Monitor regulatory changes, implement internal compliance policies and assist with legal audits and due‑diligence exercises.
• Assist finance, HR, procurement, commercial and project teams with timely legal guidance on transactions, tendering and operational decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant legal experience in the UAE, preferably in commercial contracts, corporate law and real‑estate or construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of UAE commercial legislation, corporate regulations and contractual frameworks.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is advantageous.
