Lighting Design Consultant (Senior)

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for a passionate Lighting Design Consultant to join its Innovation Lighting Design Studio in Dubai. The role involves creating transformative lighting concepts for a variety of projects while collaborating with architects, engineers and clients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lighting designs, including sketches, graphical drawings, specifications, design reports and mock‑ups.
• Lead projects from concept through delivery, managing budgets, timelines and technical documentation.
• Apply lighting standards and control systems knowledge using tools such as DIALux, AGI32 and Revit.
• Serve as primary client contact, delivering presentations and managing design expectations.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, coordinate with contractors and oversee implementation of lighting solutions.
• Monitor market trends, sustainable practices and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design or related field.
• Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design or equivalent with full professional qualifications.
• Minimum five years of experience in lighting design consultancy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while staying engaged with the core team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with lighting design software such as DIALux, AGI32 and Revit.
• Experience using Dialux/Relux and other CAD/BIM platforms.
• Familiarity with presentation software for client deliverables.
