Maintenance Technician – Meat Processing Unit

About the role

GMG is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its meat processing unit in Dubai. The role involves hands‑on maintenance and repair of machinery used in food processing, ensuring equipment runs reliably and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on all processing equipment.
• Identify and report equipment deviations, assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with breakdowns.
• Inspect machines for wear, replace faulty components, and maintain spare‑parts inventory.
• Document all maintenance actions and follow HACCP/GMP safety standards.
• Collaborate with production staff to suggest improvements for machine performance.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in machine operation or technical work within the frozen food industry.
• High School Diploma or ITI trade certificate in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of MEP systems and food hygiene practices.
• Strong communication skills and accurate documentation habits.

Required skills

• Preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Fault‑finding on processing and packaging machines.
• Setting parameters and molds for equipment.
• Understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling.
