Manager – Tax Technology & Transformation (GCC)

About the role

The Manager – Tax Technology & Transformation will join EY’s MENA Tax Technology & Transformation team in Dubai. This client‑facing position designs, builds, tests and deploys technology‑enabled tax solutions across corporate tax, indirect tax, accounting compliance, e‑invoicing and AI‑driven use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, solution design, analytics and reporting delivery for tax transformation projects.
• Develop and validate data solutions using SQL, Alteryx and Tableau.
• Support e‑invoicing and VAT reporting initiatives and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Coordinate testing, deployment, governance activities and manage defect resolution.
• Coach junior team members and deliver high‑quality client‑ready outputs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in tax technology, tax transformation, compliance/reporting transformation, data & analytics or management consulting.
• Strong stakeholder management, documentation and delivery execution skills.
• Collaborative, client‑focused mindset with high ownership, attention to detail and continuous‑improvement orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Hands‑on experience with Alteryx for data blending and workflow automation.
• Ability to create visual analytics and dashboards using Tableau.
• Familiarity with SDLC activities, including requirements definition, testing, defect management and release readiness.
• Understanding of corporate tax, indirect tax and digital VAT reporting processes.
