Manufacturing Manager

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the maintenance, tooling, production, quality and engineering teams to ensure efficient, cost‑effective manufacturing of HVAC products. This senior role coordinates daily workflow, drives continuous improvement and supports plant expansions.

Key responsibilities

• Assign jobs, set priorities and oversee daily workflow of the department.
• Recruit, interview, hire and train new staff; conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions.
• Analyse current operations to identify inefficiencies and implement cost‑reduction measures.
• Collaborate with other managers to align priorities across teams.
• Supervise tooling operations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Lead plant renovation projects, coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Implement Lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and Value‑Stream Mapping.
• Improve routing times for HVAC product models.
• Approve purchase, installation and commissioning of new equipment and tooling designs.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget.

Required profile

• Degree in Production, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering and tooling.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite for budgeting and reporting.
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM).
